* The Julia Breese Canadian 1200
is being held in honour of our Richard Breese's late wife. This
round was one of her favourites and one which the family shot many
times whilst on holiday in Cornwall. It is light-hearted and not
too taxing yet has challengnes should you want them - just right
for the second day of our Bank Holiday Shoot. Based on the American,
this is a metric round of 10 dozen arrows with 30 at each of 70,60,50
and 40 metres. It is shot on a 122 cm face and has 10-zone scoring.
The maximum score is 1200 and we will be awarding certificates for
different score levels achieved. These can then be added to in each
subsequent year as with FITA Stars and Rose Awards. Records will
also be kept. Although not recognised by GNAS the round will be
shot to the standard rules of shooting. To add to the spirit of
the day archers are encouraged to wear or display Canadian regalia
and the GNAS Dress Code Rule will be relaxed accordingly to allow
for the wearing of red and white.
